As for today's strip (1812) I've seen a lot of other punchlines to that kind of comment which are even more awkward, some by an extremely large margin:

Smothered in whipped cream.
Ethically purchased from Latin American farming cooperatives.
Drunk.
Ground up and in the freezer.
In the kitchen.
Round the back, leaning against the wall on a break.
Laced with alcohol.
Strong enough to choke me.
In my digestive system.

I could go on, but you get the picture.

What about: In a plastic cup.

Seriously though, I think Zach is tired. His last strip took 2 days and it wasn't very good.

Also, the joke was weak today, I admit.

That's no typo.

That's a calculated assault in Kimra's war of attrition against the English Language.
Police said they spent some time working out if they could charge the man with being armed with a weapon, as technically he was armed with part of a fish.

I don't think she posts enough for it to be worthwhile.

I'm not entirely certain what an engineer actually does but I would leap down that hole in an instant if I could get a free oscilloscope out of it.
