Re: Chason the Barbarian
So I looked at the picture Zach put up on the SMBC page and thought to myself, that art looks familiar. Sure enough it's drawn by Tauhid Bondia, confirmed by a quick visit to his webcomic at Good Ship Chronicles! Which I linked to on the recommended comics page here, which maybe now you guys will now be more willing to check out because it is awesome.
Anyways, I guess what I'm trying to say is I'm pretty excited about this too!

Re: Chason the Barbarian
I found GSC two days before cow mentioned it. It was okay, and he only recently started trying coloring. Perhaps this project was his reason? Get used to color to keep a regular update pattern?
Anyway, I hope one day to have a work named after me.

I'm confused. What is this? What are the ramifications of this?

Re: Chason the Barbarian
Chason is a friend of Zach whom Zach once made a comic about, now he's going to try it again with Chason as a barbarian I think.

I think what we have here is the first SMBC Forum iteration of "There's a Frontpage?!".*

That's how you're coming across to me right now. What, specifically, do you not understand about the concept of Zach's new comic project called Chason the Barbarian that was mentioned on the frontpage of SMBC?Euclidthegreek wrote:I know about addition. Re: Chason the Barbarian
Well, there's not really a lot that we know about it. It's just three guys standing there. We don't even know which one is Chason (though I can guess).

Re: Chason the Barbarian
Oh, so it's a comic? All I could gather without making wild conjectures was that he had got someone to draw some people standing around and had entitled it "Chason the Barbarian". I was trying to understand what this means. Is it a comic? Is it a comedy show? Is it a novel? Did he just like the artwork? I don't know.Edminster wrote:That's how you're coming across to me right now. Re: Chason the Barbarian
Oh, so your confusion also stems from not reading the thread.
Zach announces new Project
+
Zach's history of announcing new comic projects with a teaser image
+
Zach's history of collaborating with other artists (Cap E is down but apparently Zach is working on getting it back up and running)
+
Confirmation from other artist (as referenced earlier in the thread) that it is a new comic
=
Zach is collaborating with Tauhid on a comic called Chason the Barbarian. No wild conjecture necessary!
TL;DR
Nerdraging over being (deliberately?) obtuse.
