It's actually the perfect gift. It's personal, it says, "We both know I'm great, now you can bask in greatness in the comfort of your own home." I'm seriously considering doing the same thing, take pictures of myself with random facial expressions, frame them and give them as door gifts. Religion pushers would get a very special angry face picture.

The Queen gets a mixed welcome here, not many people here still have much patriotism for the Motherland, and the reminder that this old crony rules over us is a little too humiliating for some.

She's visited us 23 times. I think I know who the favourite here is.

They haven't announced yet where she's going. She's been to my hometown once, which leads me to believe she's never coming here again. But yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if it was just Ottawa and Toronto and maybe some of the more scenic areas.

I think not rebelling is probably the quality she is most impressed with.

It certainly is the perfect gift. His says "hey, I'm young and hip and apparently know nothing about you". Hers says the same, only with "I'm an obsolete old crone" at the beginning. I like the atmosphere, and chilling around the Parliament buildings and such. I don't like the rest of the city, and I like the people even less. Why is it that most Ottawans are so seemingly elitist? And I have a fairly large sample I've taken. Heck, even my cousins who moved out there (who I got along with very well prior to the move) became people I didn't want to really associate with.
And didn't Obama have a Zune? I remember a big deal about that back in the fall.

I don't like her anymore. Last time she was supposed to visit my area, she was supposed to come out to the golf course and the farm I worked at. The owner made me go out and paint every frickin piece of fence on that farm. Took me a week, I got all sunburned, and I am pretty sure that the paint made me sick. Then she totally no-showed. I think she owes me that Ipod.
