I agree, and perhaps it will change, but currently it's like a $5 - $10 additional add on for texting plans. But, anyone can text on their phone, it just costs them a few cents.

I believe you can get the much more expensive plans that include texting - like unlimited anytime calling and unlimited texting - but I think those are a couple hundred per person. (Also, the last time I did contracts was about a year and a half/two years ago, so, it may have changed some - but my older sister just changed hers, and still had to pay a separate add on texting fee, as well as a separate add on internet fee.)

It probably is minutes, but most of the fee comes when you make the initial call, and I rarely talk on the mobile for longer than a minute anyway.

Screw you LR, people in different parts of the world are allowed to talk differently to you. Mobile makes way more sense than cell phone, those are for when you are in jail.

I have NEVER heard that mentioned in my classes. Remember, I'm the guy who studies this and I can make up whatever crazy shit I want!

Many companies have the word mobile in their names. Plus, the word is shorter and more accurate.
It was what they were originally called. It's more convenient to say Cell than mobile, but mobile is better than Cell Phone. Especially now that everyone has a cell phone, saying "Mobile" seems like you're a bit smarter.

Just so you know: I pulled up in my car at the local park and sat in the boot to eat some chips and a burger when my mobile rang, I had a yarn to my mate and we meet up for a cuppa and some biscuits (bickies).
