I believe it contains soap, but to be honest I'm not 100% sure what all the ingredients do. This is the one I use, anyway: http://puresoapworks.com/shampoo.htmKaharz wrote:Is the shampoo + condition bar still some kind of soap or surficant?

Yea that is soap. Sodium palmate is a common surfactant. It will help strip the oils away. But unlike a lot of soaps, they don't remove the glycerol (glycerin) and that acts a lubricant and moisturizer. So you can wash away the natural oils and all the dirt trapped in them without drying out your hair and scalp. I don't know what the other ingredients are for, if anything.

I make my own dry shampoo, so you could too if you wanted to try it out without having to spend more than a dollar or so.Astrogirl wrote:Dry shampoo, shampoo without detergent, haven't heard of this.

I think I have never seen corn starch in a store here (but I wasn't looking for it so far). Do you think the type of starch matters?Apocalyptus wrote:I make my own dry shampoo, so you could too if you wanted to try it out without having to spend more than a dollar or so.Astrogirl wrote:Dry shampoo, shampoo without detergent, haven't heard of this.

I'm not sure, however some cornstarch is made from corn and some from wheat, so it might not matter.

Any starch should work to at least some degree. It just absorbs the oils.

Yeah, I don't know why they call it that. In Australia it tends to be called cornflour, just to make it even more confusing, although it is sometimes labelled 'wheaten cornflour'.Astrogirl wrote:Cornstarch made from wheat? >.> For reals?

I've been known to shower.
Got a haircut. It's very short. Bit shorter than it was in my drag photo.

The drag photo which threw me off considerably when you added me on FB. I was very confused as to why this strange friend of Ed's added me until it dawned on me that I recognized the photo.Liriodendron_fagotti wrote:I've been known to shower.
