This weekend I saw "Zombieland" and "Toy Story" 1&2 in 3D
The former gets an awesome out of ten, for being a sincerely funny zombie apocalypse movie that isn't "goofy" at all. It's still gory and sad and scary and all the good things a zombie movie must be, but you'll still be laughing throughout.
It's good to have an American answer to "Shaun of the Dead."
And as far as watching Toy Story 1&2 in 3D goes, I think we all understand the sheer life-affirming awesomeness inherent in such an action.
No more needs to be said.
I would highly recommend both.
HUGE SPOILERS BELOW!!!!! THEY WILL FORCE YOUR BRAIN TO OBSESS ABOUT SEEING THESE MOVIES BY THEIR SHEER MIND-BLOWINGNESS!!!!
Zombieland spoiler:
Bill Murray cameos as a zombie! Hilarity ensues!
Toy story spoiler:
The toys are ALIVE! IN 3D!

That's preposterous. If you're going to try and give away fake spoilers, at least make them plausible.davoid wrote:Toy story spoiler:

I hate myself for reading that spoiler before watching it in 3D. I thought I had nothing to fear, seeing as I had seen both movies in 2D, but I've just ruined the experience forever now.

And the cameo in Zombieland wasn't as a zombie. Also, it was one of the most fantastic movies I've ever seen.

My town isn't getting Zombieland or Toy Story 1&2 (3D), so alas, I'm dissapointed.
I'm forced to take my date to see Couples Retreat... meh.
Oh, I'm new by the way. I didn't really see a "New People" board so thought I'd announce that right here. And here.

We should really do something to make it more visible, but here is the thread you want to make an official introductions. Remember to read the rules, take your vitamins regularly, bathe at least once a day if possible, and also be wary of wild Canadian Panthers that sometimes prowl around in these areas, they can get quite nasty. Enjoy your stay!HurricaneDean wrote:My town isn't getting Zombieland or Toy Story 1&2 (3D), so alas, I'm dissapointed.

The only thing that got to me in Zombieland was Bill Murray's prank led to him being shot. You can't kill Bill Murray! It's blasphemy!!!! Otherwise Zombieland kicked massive amounts of ass

Well, you can kill him, he just won't stay dead.freako104 wrote:You can't kill Bill Murray!
Police said they spent some time working out if they could charge the man with being armed with a weapon, as technically he was armed with part of a fish.

I didn't want to break the spoiler chain.Oldrac the Chitinous wrote:Well, you can kill him, he just won't stay dead.freako104 wrote:You can't kill Bill Murray!
Also, I just saw "Paranormal Activity." I'm not sure if I liked it or not. It definitely had an interesting idea/execution, but it wasn't really scary. It's a little too much like "The Blair Witch Project" in that all the characters will leave the camera in one place, go to another place, and then scream about how scary something is, even though you can't see anything happening. So, you're left just watching an empty area, and listening to "OMG THIS IS THE SCARIEST THING EVER! IF YOU SAW THIS YOU WOULD GO INSANE!!!!"
