And most the female demographic on this forum have professed a dislike of (or derision towards) sparkly vampires.

People that are bald tend to have extremely high levels of testosterone. Often far too much that they become skinheads.

Someone in the linguistics department was talking about what referrals he should get for his grad school application. It was something like "A. doesn't show up to class and doesn't work at anything and still gets good marks, so imagine how well he'd do if he applied himself!" That's why he can't use referrals from any of the profs in the department.

I once took an all nighter to write one page.
I've also taken an all nighter to research write a 12 page paper on Otto Von Bismark.
I don't know what that says about me...

Re: Welcome to the Outlands
My best story about overnight paper writing was for a course that dealt with Derrida and Kierkegaard. The 10-12 page paper was due the following day at 6 or 7 pm. I had done some very minor legwork (getting some books for referencing and the like) but I hadn't really done anything and had barely thought about it. And if you know anything about either of those two writers, you know that is a HUGE problem. There is a ridiculous amount of depth and substance to this paper.
I had to work the night before. Until midnight. I start the paper around 1am.
After about 3 hours of just not getting anywhere, writing some stuff, but nothing of any substance.
Then... light bulb. I suddenly just understood what Derrida (the denser of the two, as you really need to understand the language and terminology he's using to comprehend anything) was saying, and how it related to Kierkegaard. I pounded out the entire paper in about 5-6 hours from that point (which must've been a personal record, knowing as little as I did at the point of starting it). Skipped my classes in favour of a few hours sleep, got up, did some editing, and handed it in 2 hours early.
Got a B+.
