Rainbow, you have just posted things I wholeheartedly agree with, and cannot even pick apart. I don't even feel an urge to remind you that you are thirteen.

I don't know if I'm proud of you, or ashamed of myself.

Anyhow, we can bond over being annoyed by anime kids.

I hate Japanese Culture Greg.

It's okay, Japanese Culture Mountain Mage.

Go play with your anime and hentai and tentacle rape porn and Pokemon. They won't judge you like we will.

And here I thought we were e-pals. But clearly, liking stylized cartoons and video games makes me some sort of weirdo deserving of shun.

I just love it when an entire nation gets stereotyped by One median they produce. Not even a genre, a median, a style that is used through out several genre that tend to be Completely unrelated. Its like thinking Japanese people only ever eat sushi, nothing else exist in Japanese cuisine right? Any game they produce must be Anime, ignore the movie that came out based on it that wasn't anime, or any of the comics. I'm a big fan of a lot of Japanese cultural things, outside of anime or manga! Its true! The country has more to offer then bad engrish cat girls. The fact your then further lumping Hentai into anime is pretty normal and not something worth commenting on I guess, after all apparently you can't tell the difference between a video game and other things on your tv so why should I expect that level of clarity?

MM.. you are deserving of being shunned, but thats just because FF is a horrible game, not because of any potential Anime associations.

Rule 12 seems especially applicable in New Outlandia.

(Also, I like Tokyo Street Fashion and my Nissan, but, I'm not a Japanese Culture Greg. If you don't know the difference between liking some things that come from Japan, and being one of them, then you must be at least somewhat unobservant.)

I don't go to cons, I don't cosplay, I don't use japanese terms as part of my vernacular, I hate sushi, I don't eat pocky, I don't belong to any anime forums, I don't write fanfiction, I don't want to move to Japan, etc. etc.

The point is, I like anime and Japan happens to make a lot of the video games I own. That doesn't make me one of your stereotype caricatures. Even with rule 12, I can't help but be riled up.

No, it doesn't make you that stereotype, and I was just joking with you when I said that you were. I didn't think you did do all those things.

I think I'm going to go watch some anime now.

We should all just sit down and watch some Evangelion together.

Though we'll probably just get in a fight over what the last two episodes mean.

Seriously, if you guys think all anime is stupid big breasted kawaii supershit you should watch that entire series. Then you should watch some studio ghibli stuff and Akira and Paprika and Tokyo Godfathers and things like that. Good stuff.

As long as we're listing good anime that deviates from "normal" anime, Ghost in the Shell is pretty awesome.

Never heard of these! Seriously, I need some good anime/2d-animated shows right now because I have a hankering to watch some.

EDIT:

I absolutely love the people that did Animatrix. That stuff was so awesome

I also really liked the anime batman collab that was sort of a precursor to the dark knight. Several of those shorts were amazing!

I was really loving the music from Paprika, but it wouldn't load when I was trying to watch it online, so I am going to either rent it, try again, or give up. It looks wicked awesome, though, and I hope for one of the first two options.

It is. I really want to make a movie about nightmares and this movie just made me want it so much more. You could also try downloading it though.
