I though Christmas was taken from Mithras' birthday which was a mystery religion in ancient Rome.Sahan wrote:Christmas was a Christian hijacking of the Germanic tradition of Yuletide, I believe. I can't remember where I got that from, but I think it was from a Bernard Cornwall book.

You're both wrong. Christmas was stolen from the Whos by the Grinch.smiley_cow wrote:I though Christmas was taken from Mithras' birthday which was a mystery religion in ancient Rome.Sahan wrote:Christmas was a Christian hijacking of the Germanic tradition of Yuletide, I believe. Police said they spent some time working out if they could charge the man with being armed with a weapon, as technically he was armed with part of a fish.

Oh my, more than one of us is right. I thought we were all supposed to be wrong and then WOW'd by the internet into GREATER KNOWLEDGE.
RE: Rule #14, derailing a derailed thread so it is rerailed, also satisfies this rule and is thus SMILED UPON.
Today I like using CAPS, so somebody ELSE make a move. I don't feel it would be right for me to move twice in a row... especially not for the first 2 moves.
Also, Ahmet, if you want to check if this is possible thru the interwebs, try it over at the xkcd forums*. People seem to be really into forum games over there.
*but please come back so everyone else doesn't kill me, thinking I'm only here as a missionary. ATTN: Monogomy does not apply to webcomics.*
* Yes, I just equated religion, sex and webcomics.

3. I immediately strip down to nothing before the bucket of water hits me. My clothes are dry as a bone, and my adversary and many others on the street are forced to view my unsightly fatty body without any form of modesty as I bathe in the muddy water. I shake my body around a bit to drive the point home.
