SMBC Random News Network wrote:Legendary ForumBattler Oldrac the Chitinous has decided to concede this week's battle for reasons known only to himself. This decision is unprecedented in all of ForumBattle history. For those of you who are confused, this means that Oldrac has given up his safety net for the battle, and elected to duke it out on the Assassin's turf. The stakes are raised, the battle re-scheduled, and the tension is incredible. This reporter is looking forward to a fantastic battle. At the time of this reporting, Oldrac could not be reached for comment, although his nemesis AHMETxRock has gone on the record to state that he looks forward to slitting the throat-equivalent of the Crab.

I would be disappointed if the final battle was a withdraw, so I'm glad for this decision. I would have even supported it if it had been Ahmet who couldn't make it.*

I think Ahmet is cooking a crab dish, and Oldrac will be using pork.

Re: EXTRA! EXTRA!
Do you have Master Chef in America? I find it hard to believe that maybe we made a show that doesn't already exist in America, but it's too polite (in it's own way) so maybe it isn't American.

Ah, sorry I have aLordRetard wrote:You're joking, right?
I am aware of what you where quoting. Iron Chef is an iconic legend. I was asking a question sort of related to the cuisine quotes but really not related to anything else. I'll take that answer as a no though, since you didn't understand what I was talking about. I think it's the highest rating show (was it's over now) in Australia this year.

Ah, okay. Don't worry, I understand migraines, I've had a couple that made me go blind. Anyway, we don't have Master Chef, but now we have Iron Chef America. I don't think many people watch it.

But Iron Chef isn't awesome unless its in Japanese! American's re-make too many things. *grumble*LordRetard wrote:Ah, okay. Re: EXTRA! EXTRA!
I do, and I love it. But I enjoy some cooking shows, so that might be part of it. It also depends on what the challenge is, as some things (such as an episode where Arctic Char was the secret ingredient) aren't terribly interesting to me. Actually the floor reporter of Iron Chef America used to host TVO Kids (Kevin Brauch, who also hosts an okay program called The Thirsty Traveller).LordRetard wrote:Ah, okay. And I feel like I've seen something like Master Chef (judging by wiki's description) that was American, but I can't find what it was. It was just a bunch of non-professionals cooking signature local dishes in a contest that had the same format, I think.

I watched an episode of Iron Chef a while ago and was surprised to find quite a famous British chef on there that I know. It was funny.
